CONSULAR CLERCK

Job Title: Consular Clerk

Remuneration: € 27 501 – € 48 011

Requirements:

Minimum Twelve years of schooling, 3 years’ experience in a related field of work.  

The candidate must have basic knowledge of South African Immigration and Civic laws and be willing to constantly update themselves with the latest policies. The candidate must be able to speak and write French and English fluently.  The candidate must be computer literate. As a first point of contact, the candidate must have good interpersonal skills, be able to work with diverse people and positively represent the Embassy and South Africa. The candidate must have knowledge of South Africa and its culture. Non-French candidates must have a relevant permit allowing them to stay and work in France.

Duties:

Facilitate the applications for entry of foreign nationals travelling from France to South Africa (Visas and other relevant permits)

Facilitate Civic applications (e.g. birth certificates, passports IDs, Marriage, citizenship, birth and death certificates etc)

Facilitate Consular related enquiries and assistance

Attend to enquiries and give guidance to the Members of the Public according to South African Immigration laws, civic laws and other relevant policies

Provide administrative support relevant to all the immigration, civic and consular matters

Provide ad-hoc services in response to the organisational requirements

The South African Embassy in Paris invites applicants including South African Citizens residing in France to apply for the above-mentioned vacancy – interested candidates who comply with the requirements must submit the following:

5. Police clearance

6. Relevant French Permit (for non-French Nationals)

7. Updated CV
