SOUTH AFRICA’S CANDIDATURE TO THE UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL (UNHRC)

 

 

 

Job Title: Accountant

Remuneration: € 32 428 – € 59 332

Requirements:

Relevant post-school qualification, accounting background and 5 years’ experience in the related field of work. The candidate must have accounting background, understanding of the French Social Security system and be willing to constantly update themselves with the latest policies. The candidate must be able to speak, read and write French and English fluently.  The candidate must be computer literate. The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, be able to work with diverse people and positively represent the Embassy and South Africa. Non-French candidates must have a relevant and valid permit allowing them to stay and work in France.

Duties:

  • Prepare payments
  • Prepare Monthly Expenditure Reports
  • Monitor expenditure and implement internal controls
  • Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation and reporting
  • Prepare 6 monthly and annual expenditure report
  • Manage the payroll system
  • Provide administrative support relevant to the finance section of the Embassy
  • Provide ad-hoc services in response to the organisational requirements
